NDDC introduces SAP to fight corruption

IN a bid to eradicate corruption, especially in the Niger Delta, the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has introduced Systems Application and Programmes, SAP, an Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP, which is designed to add value to life by simplifying its operations.

Speaking at the inauguration of the two committees to  facilitate  implementation, Special Assistance to the MD/CEO of NDDC, Mr Chibuzor Ugwoha, explained that the benefits will affect every aspect of the commission’s operations, in form of quicker and more accurate processing of work packages.

According to him, “we believe that more predictable delivery of internal services such as procurement, expert management, human resources management, longer lasting infrastructure and better services delivery to the citizenry will be achieve.

The committees, he stated, are SAP Steering Committee comprising, among others, the managing director as chairman, as well as the Executive Director, Projects,  Esoetok Ikpong Etteh, and  Executive Director, Finance and Administration, Mr. P. Z. Aginighan, as members, and a 16-member Change Management Committee, headed by the Acting Head, Security, Mr. Peter Idabor.
