Jonathan considers reappointing 12 ministers

Strong indications emerged yesterday that President Goodluck Jonathan, come May 29, 2011, may consider the re-appointment of about 12 of his key ministers into his new cabinet, after the inauguration of his government.

Highly placed Presidency sources told BusinessDay that those to be considered for reappointment by the president are ministers who have been adjudged to have performed well during the one-year reign of President Jonathan’s inherited government.

Those pencilled down for consideration according to the inside sources are: Olusegun Aganga, current minister of finance; Dieziani Allison-Maduekwe, minister of petroleum resources; Godsday Orubebe, minister of Niger Delta affairs; Odein Ajumogobia, minister of foreign affairs;
Nuhu Way
, minister of state power; and Emeka Wogu, minister of labour and interior.

Others are: Bala Mohammed, minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT); Caleb Olubolade, minister of state FCT; Josephine Anenih, minister of women affairs; Sanusi Daggash, minister of works; Humphrey Abba, minister of police affairs and John Odey, current minister of environment.
