The National Assembly election unveiled a peculiar trend among Imo politicians that pointed to an emerging new direc\tion. Governor Ikedi Ohakim of Imo state and Ambassador Kema Chikwe, both of the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP) had played into the hands of the opposition political parties by either omission or commission through series of perceived political misdeeds, miscalculation and misconception that had set the stage for an inevitable humiliation of the ruling party in the state.
