The clamour for convocation of a national conference to discuss the state of the
maintaining dissenting positions.
While the House spokesman, Mr Zakari Mohammed derided proponents of
national conference as election losers who are desperate to assert themselves,
the Action Congress of Nigeria, A.C.N. caucus insisted that it was a laudable
path towards addressing Nigeria
Briefing newsmen in Abuja Mohammed said the proponents were those who
lost in the last general elections but feel they can attain relevance through a
national conference.
