AN appeal has gone to the Senate president, Senator David Mark, to prevail on the Niger Delta Ministry to include former Niger Delta militants in the amnesty programme.

A statement signed by the leader of the group, Ramsey Umukoru, a copy of which was made available to the Nigerian Tribune, in Lokoja, Kogi State, on Thursday, blamed the management of the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs for their non-inclusion in the amnesty programme.

He said they decided to appeal to the Senate president and the National Assembly because they believe as representatives of the people they would ensure that the issue was resolved amicably.
