State Director of SSS Tukur Bakori, who disclosed this yesterday in Benin while receiving Governor Adams Oshiomhole at the SSS headquarters in the state, said the arms were recovered from unrepentant militants from the Ovia South-west area of the state.
He said the arms' recovery was in response to the Federal Government' s directive to security operatives to prevent criminals from having access to arms.
In a related development, the command also yesterday paraded four suspected kidnappers.
Parading the suspects, Bakori said they often raped their victims even when ransoms were paid.
He thanked Governor Oshiomhole for supporting the command which, he said, had reduced crime in the state.
Responding, the governor commended the SSS for being alive to its responsibilities.
The governor also donated N2 million to the operatives of the SSS who arrested the kidnappers, saying the gesture was aimed at motivating them.
