A University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) don, Dr. Sunny Mbazie, has urged President Goodluck Jonathan to  convene a stakeholders’ summit to address the menace of Boko Haram in the North.

He said the summit would bring together security agents, government officials, experts in psychology, sociology, economics and development communication, as well as community leaders.

Mbazie spoke with reporters in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital yesterday.

He said the forum would provide a session on how to approach crime control, prevention and detection, reiterating that security is not about arms, ammunition and operatives alone.

He said if this was done and the decisions implemented the nation would be on top in crime control.

The don attributed the high level of unemployment of youths as responsible for the spate of insecurity in Nigeria.
