FG Terminates Ex-militants S’Africa Training

This Day
27 November 2011

The federal government has terminated   its contract with Westgate Unique Alliance Limited of South Africa for its failure to keep up with the prescribed standard curriculum for the training of Niger Delta youths under the Amnesty Programme. Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta Matters, Kingsley Kuku, disclosed this yesterday in Lagos. He noted that the termination of the contract was in accordance to the directive given by President Goodluck Jonathan who insisted that contracted trainers and institutions must offer first-class vocational training to Niger Delta ex-militants enrolled in the programme.

Kuku, who expressed disappointment over the failure of the trainer to offer high quality training services, has threatened to terminate others contracts in other countries where the youths travel to for training where the trainers fall below contractual expectations.
