Gov. Okorocha reaffirms commitment to free education policy

As school children in both primary and secondary schools in Imo State return to classes after the long vacation, the state governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has reaffirmed his avowed commitment to implement and sustain the free and compulsory education declared by his administration.

Speaking in an interactive meeting with principals, head teachers and other stakeholders in the education sector at Rochas Convention Centre, Owerri, Gov. Okorocha emphasized that his administration had placed free education on the front burner and would not hesitate to deal decisively with whoever engages in any act capable of frustrating the programme.
