Port Harcourt — The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), South-South zone, yesterday advised Muslim communities from different parts of the country in the Niger Delta to be security conscious and report any security threat to relevant security agents.

The ACF chairman of the South-South and South East zone, Alhaji Musa Saidu, gave the warning in Port Harcourt while reacting to a statement posted on the internet by a group called Egbesu issuing a seven-day ultimatum to Muslim communities to leave the Niger Delta region.

"I have also received reports from the ACF representative in Yenagoa, Alhaji Mumini Jibo and also from Delta state that they have received letters from a group asking them to leave the Niger Delta region. But we have met with relevant security agencies and they have assured us of our safety.
