Traditional rulers appeal to FG on coastal roads

Traditional  rulers in the South-South geo-political zone  have urged the Federal Government to expedite action on the construction of coastal roads in the Niger Delta region.

In a communiqué issued at the weekend in Effurun, Delta State, at the end of the 23rd National Conference of Traditional Rulers of Oil Mineral Producing Communities of Nigeria (TROMPCON), the rulers said the roads were needed to link their communities.

The communique, signed by the National Chairman, Oba Lawrence Omowole III, and Secretary, Oba Bokumo Orukari, explained that the roads would help in poverty alleviation and reduce the transportation challenges of the people.
