Nigeria: Jonathan Releases Final List of Ministerial Portfolios

Abuja — The Federal Government on Monday released the final list of ministerial appointees and their respective portfolios and made some redeployment, following their screening by the National Assembly.

The Ministers and their portfolio are: Emeka Wogu, Minister for Labour and Productivity; Zainab Maina, Women Affairs; Prof. Ita Okon Bassey Ewa, Science and Technology; Stella Oduah-Ogiemwonyi, Aviation; Bala Mohammed, MFCT; Diezani Alison-Madueke, Petroleum; Abba Moro, Interior.

Others are Zainab Ibrahim Kuchi, Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs[Minister of State]; Bukar Tijani, Agriculture and Natural Resources; Godsday Orubebe, Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs; Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu, Health; Mike Onolememen, Works; Navy Capt. Caleb Olubolade (Retd), Police Affairs; Professor Bart Nnaji, Power; Yusuf Suleiman, Sports; Prof. (Mrs) Viola Onwuliri, Foreign Affairs; Prof (Mrs.) Ruqayyatu Rufai, Education.

Also, Dr. Shamsudeen Usman is Minister of National Planning; Mohammed Musa Sada, Mines and Steel Development; Dr. Bello H. Mohammed, Defence; Mohammed B.

Adoke, Justice,; Bolaji Abdullahi, Youth development; Olusegun Aganga, Trade and Investment; Labaran Maku, Information and Communications, Dr. Samuel Ioraer Ortom, Minister of State, Trade and Investment; Olugbenga Ashiru, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Olusola Obada, Minister of state Defence; Mrs. Olajumoke Akinjide, Minister of state FCT; Idris A.Umar, Minister of Transport; Dr. Yerima Lawal Ngama, Minister of State, Finance, and Bashir Yugudu, Minister of state, Works.

The statement from the office of the SGF also indicated the redeployment of Yusuf Suleman from the Ministry of Transport to the Sports Commission as Chairman and Minister, while Idris Umar is now the Minister of Transport.

In the same vein, Navy Captain Caleb Olubolade was redeployed to Ministry of Police Affairs, while Mrs. Olajumoke Akinjide resumes as Minister of State, FCT.
