NBA Panel Indicts Katsina-Alu, Nigeria CJN of corruption

Alleged corruption in the top echelon of the Nigeria judiciary has been confirmed by the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) going by a report in a Nigerian Newspaper. The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Aloysius Katsina-Alu, President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Ayo Isa Salami and six justices of the Appellate Court are currently being investigated by the The National Judicial Council (NJC) over their alleged involvement in unethical conduct in
 the discharge of their duties, as it relates to the determination of petitions arising from the 2007 general election.
But a committee set up by the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) to investigate the crisis of confidence between the chief justice of Nigeria, Justice Aloysious Katsina-Alu and the president, Court of Appeal, Justice Isa Salami, has indicted the CJN and two lawyers, Alfred Agu and Mahmood Yahaya.

For the CJN,  What a way of exiting the Country's Judiciary. Justice Aloysius Katsina-Alu, will quit the apex court on August 28, 2011.
