World Bank commends Nigeria on Fadama III project

The World bank has commended Nigeria on the success of its community-driven development approach to farming saying it has contributed to the achievement witnessed in the Fadama III project system in the state.
World Bank task team leader, Abimbola Adubi who gave credit to the ability of Nigeria to implement the project said evidence on ground shows that the project was a success.

Mr Adubi spoke yesterday in Uyo on the "Third National Fadama Development Project", saying that the World Bank introduced the project into the country because they saw it worked in other regions of the world and what they had experienced in the state were testimonies to this fact.

Noting that it was evident the technical assistance given to the country to ensure the proper implementation of the project had achieved its purpose, the task leader said aside the oversight role of the bank to the project, they also assisted the Nigerian government to work on the community-driven development approach, which had aided the success of the project.
