Oil workers are set to tackle FG over PIB, says Ogun

President of Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN), Babatunde Ogun has said that the union will embark on strike, if the Petroleum Equalisation Fund (PEF) and the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) are excluded from Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) when passed into law as it will undermine the purpose of the government to ensure that maximum benefits are derived from the nation’s hydrocarbon potentials. In this interview with Senior Correspondent, Sylvester Enoghase, he said that PENGASSAN supported downstream liberalisation with a view to fostering private investments, participation and competition along the value chain of refining.
