NDDC plans free medical services for 5,000 in Ondo

No fewer than 5,000 people in Ondo State will benefit from the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) free health programme slated for the end of this month.

The state’s representative on the board of the commission, Dr. Benson Enikuomehin, who disclosed this to newsmen in Akure, said the programme would cost N80 million which covered medical bills, security, accommodation and flight tickets of the surgeons.

He said the programme was in partnership with the state government and that experienced resident medical personnel from the state ministry of health would be involved in the exercise.

The NDDC chief stated that the programme was part of the commission’s commitment to the provision of good health service delivery for the people in the Niger Delta region.
