The Senate Monday re-elected Senator David Mark as President of the upper chamber of the National Assembly
Also re-elected as Deputy Senate President is Senator Ike Ekweremadu representing Enugu West senatorial district
The 109-member Senate unanimously re-elected Mark and Ekweremadu at its inaugural sitting at the hallowed chambers of the Senate in Abuja
In his acceptance speech, Mark pledged his commitment towards taking the Senate to the next level
He also canvassed for a more vibrant budgeting system for the country "in the overall interest of the citizenry"
