Vegetable orders for Thursday 2 June

Hello customers,
I am sorry this newsletter is a bit late. We had a very good week in Mubi, working hard for 10 hours a day in very hot weather, and got a lot done. It has not yet started raining there, and there is a general water shortage in the area, so we could not do a lot of planting. We will go back again once the rainy season there really starts. Since we came back, we have been busy with our farm reorganisation, which has taken most of our time, hence the lateness of this newsletter.
We finally decided that Zamani Farms should become more up to date in its use of technology, so we are bringing in a tractor next week to deep plow and ridge our main field, which is about a hectare. We hope that opening up the soil (which has never been done since we started the farm) will help us to increase productivity and also get rid of some pesky and persistent weeds. (We do not use any herbicides on the farm, and all weeding has been done by hand.) So we have been busy moving all of the young plants on this field to other sites, which turned out to be much more work than we expected.
Unfortunately this process means that we are going to be somewhat short of some items for the next few weeks. Unfortunately also this coincides with the period of heavy rains we are having which has already caused some problems with some crops. So, as you will notice, we have a much reduced order form for the coming week. We had considered closing the farm altogether during this period, but we decided that supplying some items to our customers is probably better than no supply at all, and since we have things growing in three other smaller fields, we will have some things to send to you.
So here is a brief report of what you can expect for next week's order:..
