The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC); yesterday filed a fresh charge against an ex-Personal Assistant to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Bodunde Adeyanju. Adeyanju was accused of complicity in the alleged $180 million Halliburton scam.
But his counsel, Oluwole Adeyanju has challenged the competence of the charge, saying the accused cannot take his plea until the application is determined by the court.
Justice Adamu Bello therefore, adjourned the matter till June 22 to hear the motion on notice opposing the amended charge.
