An explosive device detonated at a rally for Nigeria ’s ruling political party the afternoon of March 3, a member of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps said, AP and AFP reported. Officials from the civil defense organization took the wounded to nearby hospitals, he said. The blast happened in Suleja in the western state of Niger , and reports indicate between three and six people were killed. Police said at least 21 people were injured. The explosive device was thrown from a car, police said, Reuters reported.
