President Goodluck Jonathan has ordered the suspension of his campaign’s
Director of Research and Strategy, Mr. Mike Omeri over comments on former
head of state and CPC presidential candidate Gen. Buhari and other
presidential candidates.
In a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja
Gen Buhari of CPC and Nuhu Ribadu of ACN were not as honest as they are
being portrayed in the media.The statement also described Buhari’s stance
on anti-corruption as “hypocritical.”
President Jonathan was said to be unhappy with the statement because it
deviates from his stance on issue based campaign, warning against smearing
of other candidates’ character, especially Gen. Buhari who was a former head
of state.
