Eyes on Nigeria

Amnesty International
Eyes on Nigeria

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Amnesty International's Eyes on Nigeria project leverages the power of geospatial technology to map human rights violations in Nigeria-enabling action by private citizens and policy makers. Eyes on Nigeria is a comprehensive and interactive site that enables viewers to visualize and interact with the evidence, testimony and impact of human rights abuses.
The project was led by Amnesty International's Science for Human Rights Program, in collaboration with the American Association for the Advancement of Science. The Science for Human Rights Program uses technological and scientific progress for human rights research, advocacy and campaigning, and currently focuses on utilizing geospatial technologies for human rights monitoring and crisis mitigation. For more information please contact maito:science@aiusa.org.
The project was made possible in large part by a grant from the Oak Foundation. The Oak Foundation commits its resources to address issues of global social and environmental concern, particularly those that have a major impact on the lives of the disadvantaged.
