‘Ex-militants will contribute to Nigeria’s development’

The Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta Affairs, Comrade Kinsley Kuku, has stated that some of the former Niger Delta militants will soon contribute to the development and uplifting of Nigeria in different fields of endeavour.
Kuku said the Federal Government and the facilitators of the reorientation and training of the militants on how they could be self-sufficient and useful to the society are proud of the success they are making out of the amnesty programme.

Kuku said this in Obubra while speaking to journalists after the passing out ceremony of about 1,200 former militants who completed their reorientation training at the camp.

They are the first batch to be trained this year since the programme started last year when over 12,000 of the former fighters in the creeks were successfully trained.
