The European Union (EU) will deploy more than 120 observers for next month’s elections in
Presidential election hold on April 9, a week after legislative polls on April 2, Governorship and state assembly polls will be on April 16.
“The observers are from 27 EU member states, Norway and Switzerland ,” EU Election Observation Mission chief observer Alojz Peterie told reporters in Abuja .
He said nine analysts from eight EU member-states arrived in Abuja last week; others are expected before polling day.
“Our presence here is an expression of the partnership between the European Union and Nigeria ,” he said.
