Calabar — Cross River State governor, Liyel Imoke, has commissioned the resettlement site for the displaced people of Agwagune, Biase Local government Area.
Imoke described the feat as one of the major pragmatic steps taken by his administration to resettle the Agwagune community, which has almost been completely wiped out by landslide and flooding.
The governor, who was represented at the commissioning by his Special Adviser on Special Duties, Prof. Zana Akpaga, said the attainment of the projects represents one of the major pragmatic steps taken by his administration to resettle the Agwagune community, which had almost been completely wiped out by landslide and flooding.
Imoke said the people are now relived because in the past 47 years the community had experienced natural disaster that washed away about 90 per cent of the inhabitable landmass along with residential houses, economic trees, livestock and sometime human beings.
