Justice Salami Goes To Court To Stop “Promotion”

The acrimony between Chief Justice Aloysius Katsina-Alu of the Supreme Court and President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Isa Salami, has taken a new twist, with Justice Salami taking the case to court.

SaharaReporters was first to report that Justice Katsina-Alu was spearheading a plot to promote Justice Salami to the Supreme Court as a way of neutralizing the latter’s principled leadership of the Court of Appeal and his role in reversing several cases of electoral fraud. Our sources within the judiciary indicated that Mr. Katsina-Alu was working with Attorney General Adoke Bello as well as close associates of Nigeria’s ruler, Goodluck Jonathan, to transfer Salami to the Supreme Court where his lone voice would be drowned out by a majority of justices available to be bought. SaharaReporters sources disclosed that the “promotion” of Justice Salami has been in planning for over a month, coordinated by Jonathan’s chief of staff, Mike Oghadiome and funded by the minister for Niger Delta, Godsday Orubebe
