How Adeola became Ribadu's running mate

The Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) will today in Abuja, announce its vice presidential candidate for the April 9 presidential election.

Afolabi Tajudeen Adeola from Ogun State was at the weekend picked as the party’s running mate to Nuhu Ribadu after a marathon meeting of party chieftains. The meeting was attended by Mr. Ribadu as well as a former Lagos State governor, Bola Tinubu.

Sources close to the meeting said Mr. Tinubu had last Thursday invited Mr. Adeola, a former banker and entrepreneur, to consider joining the ACN as Mr. Ribadu’s running mate. Mr. Adeola was one of the promoters of a grassroots political party, Kowa.
