THE Federal High Court, Abuja Division will today decide whether or not the tenure of the Kogi State Governor, Abubakar Idris and his counterparts from Adamawa, Sokoto, Bayelsa and Cross River states susbists beyond the May 29, 2011 handover date.
Idris, Murtala Nyako (Adamawa), Aliyu Wamakko (Sokoto), Timipre Sylva (Bayelsa) and Liyel Imoke (Cross Rivers State) have insisted that their tenure outruns the May 29, 2011 date and are consequently challenging the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct governorship election in their state.
