‘We’ve begun payment of N65,000 monthly stipend to ex-militants’

Federal Government on Wednesday said it has begun payment of monthly stipend and feeding allowance totaling N65,000 to each of the 6,166 ex-militants recently included in the Niger Delta Amnesty Programme.

Government’s clarification came a few hours after some youths from the oil rich region had protested in Abuja over delay by government to pay them the amount being enjoyed by other ex-militants.
