Edo State Signs the Public Procurement Agency Bill into Law

ANEEJ HAILS EDO STATE FOR SIGNING PUBLIC PROCUREMENT AGENCY (PPA) BILL INTO LAW

BENIN CITY--- The Edo State Governor Comrade Adams Oshiomhole today signed the Edo State Public Procurement Bill recently passed by the State House of Assembly into Law.

“This is a step in the right direction and an important milestone in the quest for the strengthening of good governance in Niger Delta Region”, says Rev. David Ugolor, Executive Director, Africa Network for Environment and Economic Justice.

Rev. David Ugolor further notes that “the journey for transparent and accountable governance begins with putting the right legislations in place which is what the Government of Edo State has done. Edo State Government has, by this development demonstrated clearly the political will to give a new face to governance in the state which will help to address the challenges of poor procurement practices.
