A bomb explosion rocked Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital at 9.45pm Wednesday.

As confirmed by the State Police Commissioner,Chris Olakpe, a dynamite went off along the road between the State Commissioner Quarters and the private residence of the State Governor, Hon. Seriake Dickson.

Residents of the area claim that though the intention of the suspected bomber is not known, the action may not be unconnected to the recent order to stop the payment of state government allowance to the youths under the Bayelsa Volunteer and the ex-militants under the Peace Accord in the State.
