Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State on Monday in Abuja faulted the Nigeria's figure of 2.4 million barrels per day crude oil production, arguing that after over 50 years of oil production, the country did not have the correct data of its daily oil output.

Speaking at the opening of the Policy Dialogue on Oil and Gas Management in Federal Countries with the theme: 'Ensuring Transparency and Accountability”, he also bemoaned the inability of the country to appropriately channel the proceeds accrued from the country’s resources, which he said the people of the oil rich region were not happy about.
