The Federal Government has taken steps to curtail the raging acts of terrorism in the country by laying the groundwork for effective tracking of calls made within the country.
SATURDAY PUNCH investigations showed that the FG had procured some modern equipment considered vital to the prosecution of the campaign against terrorism.
It was learnt that the FG had commenced the establishment of call monitoring centres considered crucial to the investigation of suspicious telephone conversations.
It was learnt that the importance attached to the monitoring centres made it imperative for them (the centres) to be put directly under the office of the National Security Adviser.
