President Goodluck Jonathan on Monday inaugurated the Board of the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme (SURE) led by Dr. Christopher Kolade.
He said the SURE programme was designed for total deregulation of the downstream petroleum sector. Jonathan revealed there was high level distrust by the public of government and its plans at fulfilling promises.
He however guaranteed that his administration would not fail Nigerians. He held that despite the partial deregulation which led to increase in pump price of fuel, his administration would still proceed to reinvest the profits for the benefits of the people.
