NAOC sabotage suspects to turn themselves in

The seven suspects allegedly bombed an Agip trunkline in Bayelsa

In a move that bodes well for the government’s attempts at ensuring security and peace in the Niger Delta region of the country, the seven suspected bombers of the Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) trunkline in Nembe Creek, Bayelsa State have resolved to turn themselves in to security agencies in the country.

Earlier, the Joint Task Force (JTF) had given an ultimatum to all seven - Ramsey Omukoro, Friday Burutu, Lord Anipa, Yala Karo, Stanley Odovie, Para Ekiye and Robinson Agadagudu  - to turn themselves in for interrogation.

Ramsey Omukoro, the leader of the group, said the suspects would give themselves up rather than allow some faceless persons to claim responsibility in the name of Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND)
