Asari's Comments On 2015 Presidency Will Harm Jonathan - Group

The Arewa Youths Forum (AYF) said the statement credited to the leader of Niger Delta Volunteer Force (NDVF), Asari Dokubo, warning the North against 2015 presidency, would do more harm to the success of President Goodluck Jonathan's presidency.

The group, in a statement by its National President, Gambo Ibrahim Gujungu, said instead of assisting the president to excel, Dakubo's statement has reduced the president to an Ijaw leader.

"We are not ready to join issues with people like Asari, all we are concerned about is the unity and development of the country in the context of one Nigeria. All Nigerians are aware of the antecedents of people like Asari and we are not ready to join issues with him.

"We believe that he should keep quiet and channel his energy towards assisting President Goodluck Jonathan to deliver dividends of democracy to Nigerians instead of working to create tension among the geo-political zones of the country.
