Another Bloodbath In Kano As Boko Haram Bombs Police Station

Parts of Kano were again painted with human blood this evening as members of the dreaded islamic sect, boko haram threw bombs at the Bompai state headquarters of the Nigeria police, engaged policemen in fierce gun battle and in another part of the capital city battle soldiers in gun duel.

ireports-ng.com gathered that the militants stormed the police command at about 6pm local time, threw bombs into the police station and thereafter engaged armed policemen that could wait to stand them in a gun battle. Though casualties in the attack could not be ascertained yet, an eye witness said the entire Sharada Industrial area, phase 2 where the police division is located has been deserted by residents and factory workers.

While this battle in the industrial area was raging, it was gathered that the members of the sect also engaged armed soldiers in fierce fighting in another area of the state capital, identified as Mariri quarters at about 7.30 pm local time.
