President Goodluck Jonathan is right now in Kano to have an on-the-spot assessment of the bombings in Kano. The President is visiting one of the hospitals where those wounded in the attacks are receiving treatment. In an emotion-laden voice, he promised to do all in his powers to fish out the perpetrators of the evil that happened in Kano and other places before it in the country. The President also restated the government's commitment to boost the intelligence capacity of the security agencies to prevent further terrorist attacks in the country. According to him, "the battle to fight this evil is a collective one. We all must continue to watch and pray, while the government continues to work tirelessly to end this evil that threatens both our democracy and well-being. This is not the time for the blame game; it is not the time to be despondent. Rather, it is the time for all of us to come together as a people and, with courage, say NO to the enemies of our progress and security."

The President (GEJ) is Leaving the hospital where the wounded in the Kano bombings are being treated, President Jonathan moved to the palace of the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero. There the President once again commiserated with the people and government of Kano State. In his response, the Emir thanked the President for the visit and his passion for and commitment to the peace and progress of the country. "Mr President, be assured that we are in this together. We all must join hands with you to combat this evil that is threatening the welfare and security of all of us. We'll continue to pray for you and the country and do all in our power as traditional rulers and religious leaders to complement the measures you are taking to end these unfortunate incidents", says the Emir. The President later conducted an inspection of the attacked Police Headquarters in Kano before leaving for Abuja.
