Letter from Norma
Vegetable orders
From: Norma, Zamani Farms
Date: 19 January 2012
Hello customers,
I am sure that many of you were surprised that Audu managed to deliver your orders last week Thursday. He had a lot of problems getting around Abuja , including security checks, roadblocks, closed routes and burning tires. At some points he was stopped and had to join the demonstrators in their cheering and chanting. But with all of this, you did manage to get your vegetables, which is what we are here for. We are very proud of our record – in the over ten years that we have been delivering vegetables in Abuja, we have never once missed a scheduled delivery, except the times we were prevented by the crisis in Plateau State from operating. We have delivered through riots, coups, crises of various sorts, and states of emergency. If it is humanly possible, we will deliver your veggies, so you can depend on us.
A am writing this early in the morning he is on the way to Abuja with today’s orders, and hopefully he will have an easier time of things. There are many orders for today. It is good to know that you miss our vegetables. Because of the large number of orders, deliveries may be slightly delayed. But be assured that all the orders are with our delivery staff, and we will get them delivered as soon as we can....
