The Commissioner, representing Ondo State on the board of the commission, Dele Omogbehin, who said this in Akure, said the commission had already started working on how to get drinkable water for the people of Ilaje and Ese-Odo local government areas of the state.

He said the organisation had planned to construct a mini water works in Igbokoda to purify the existing water in some part of the local government.

Apart from this, he said NDDC also wanted to make use of the existing boreholes in some parts of the communities and reticulate same to homes of the people living in the riverine communities.
