GOVERNOR Liyel Imoke of Cross River State has been issued clearance certificate by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to contest in the party’s gubernatorial primaries this January amid jubilation from party faithful that had besieged the zonal office to witness the screening.

Fielding questions from journalists after the screening exercise at the PDP South-South Zonal Office in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on Monday, Imoke described it as thorough, comprehensive and natural, adding that the question and answer session he had with party officials “went well”.

Imoke disclosed that by undergoing the two-a-and-half hour exercise among other qualities, meant he had met the criteria to contest in the party’s primaries and promised he would do more for the people
