THE Egbesu Mightier Fraternity has claimed responsibility for the killing in a mosque at Erie,
Sakpoba Road, Benin City
, in Edo State.

The group said it carried out the attack as a reprisal to the continued killing of Southerner in the North, while urging the Muslim community in the South to leave their place of abode immediately.

In a statement sent to The Moment by the group, it said it would continue to attack Hausa quarters and Ogbudu markets in Warri, Delta State. Accordingly, those harbouring them too would be killed alongside, because they were also supporting the Boko Haram to unleash terror to ‘our kinsmen’ in the North.

In their words: ‘Even the ones in Warri, Delta State, were carried out by us. We are proceeding to Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, and Port Harcourt in Rivers State, this week. Any plan by any state government to stop us will be dealt with, because they don’t know us, while we know them, including their property. So, they should stay clear.
