The police have said that they are still on the trail of one Iheacho Monday, a member of one of the notorious militant groups, the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force, still operating in the Niger Delta area of Nigeria, .
.
The fleeing militant had since 2009 been on the wanted list of the Nigeria Police and other security outfits in the Niger Delta in connection with criminal activities like bombing and kidnapping of oil workers said to have been committed by him and his gang. He is also being sort after by the top echelon of the militant group for allegedly sabotaging and undermining their activities in the region.

The police revealed that it got an intelligence report that Monday is currently regrouping with his gang in preparation for the NPDVF’s threat to engage Islamic militant group, the Boko Haram, in a full-blown war if it does not desist from killing innocent citizens of the country, adding that it views the activities of the group as inimical to national security and it’s leaving no stone unturned in its effort to apprehend the criminal.
