Until recently, oil thieves were believed to have been eliminated in the creeks of the Niger Delta. But facts indicate that they are back in an unprecedented manner, building hundreds of makeshift illegal refineries along the river banks. This development has compelled an oil giant to stop production in an oil field where the bandits have become prominent.
