The post-amnesty programme of the Federal Government for former militants of the Niger Delta region received a boost at the weekend as over 247 ex-militants flew out of the country to undergo six months vocational training in pipeline welding, crane operations, electrical works and automobile installation in South Africa and Malaysia
This batch of 247 ex- militants brings to 1,735 the number of former militants who had been sent abroad for different vocational training courses in countries which include Ghana , South Africa , Malaysia , Philipines, Isreal , Russia , United States of America , Sri Lanka
