Note: Like many similar threats before this one since the Amnesty, the date of the planned attacks passed without incident.

Yenagoa — EX-militants in the Niger Delta have given ultimatum to all oil companies operating in the region to vacate the area before Saturday, as Federal Government has not addressed their demands.

They have also condemned in strongest terms the indiscriminate arrest of their members at the instance of Mr. Kingsley Kuku-led Presidential Amnesty Committee, as over 36 of their dutiful and loyal comrades, according to them, have so far been arrested.

In a statement signed by General Gift Tare, commander, Iduwini Volunteer Force and coordinator of all ex-militants on amnesty third Phase, they said that having waited for the expiration of the 14-day ultimatum, which they said would expire in the midnight of Saturday, November 19, 2011, they have no other choice than to resort to the use of violence.
