861 ex-militants complete training in Cross River

A total of 861 youths in the Niger Delta have completed their rehabilitation training programme at the Obubura Centre in Cross River.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the trainees from Delta and Bayelsa, were among the 6,661 ex-militants who had been rehabilitated by the Federal Government in the second phase of the Post Amnesty Programme.

The Deputy Camp Commandant, Maj. Godwin Bernard, told reporters in Obubra at the passing out of the second phase of the camping that the programme was in fulfilment of an earlier assurance by the Federal Government.
