Udoma tipped for NDDC top job

.A former senator, and chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Udoma Udo Udoma, is in line for the top job of managing director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), BusinessDay has learnt.

Udoma, who is also the chairman of UACN plc, and one- time chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriation and Finance, it was learnt, is among the top contenders for the post.

Informed sources say that Udoma, who is believed to enjoy the backing of the state government, is favoured to clinch the post.

Sources who declined to be quoted, told our reporter that the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, (SGF), Anyim Pius Anyim, is likely to back the senator, as both of them served as senators, at the same time, and Anyim can bear witness to the character of Udoma, who is well respected in government and business and social circles across the country.
