FG seeks N33 billion for Niger Delta

President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday asked the National Assembly to approve a budget virement of nearly N100 billion for nine ministries and agencies out of which the Niger Delta Ministry alone will receive N33 billion.

In a letter presented in the Senate and the House of Representatives, Jonathan proposed a virement of N98.446 billion within the 2011 budget, just three months to the end of the year.
