FG Procures 4 Gun Boats for Navy

Apapa — THE Federal Government has procured four gun boats for the Nigerian Navy, with a charge to the service to live up to its constitutional responsibility of protecting the nation's territorial waters.

Commissioning the boats, Monday, at the Western Naval Command, Apapa, Lagos, Minister of State for Defence, Erelu Olusola Obada, said the current administration was working to repositioning the navy to meet the challenges of the moment, particularly to curb the menace of pirates on the Nigeria/Benin Republic waterways.
